Cocoa Beach Community Church

Constitution
Article I, Name and Purpose

Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the Women's Fellowship of Cocoa Beach Community Church of Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Section 2. The purpose shall be to promote greater interest in Christian Fellowship and Missions and to Cooperate to the utmost, through service, giving, education and prayer in carrying forward the program of the Church.
Section 3. The Fellowship shall be considered an auxiliary of the United Church of Christ and shall cooperate with it by sending an annual report upon request.

Article II, Membership

Women who are members of the church or who are interested in the work of the church are automatically members of the Fellowship.

Article III, Officers and Election

Section 1. The officers of the Women's Fellowship shall consist of: President, first Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Third Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Section 2. The term of office shall be one year. No officer shall be eligible for the same office for more than two consecutive terms with the exception of the Treasurer. Section 3. Present a slate of officers to the Fellowship at the April meeting, after opening the floor for nominations, a vote will be taken. Officers shall be installed at the meeting.

Article IV, Executive Board

Section 1. The executive board of the Fellowship shall consist of the officers and the Committee heads of the Fellowship. Section 2, The duty of the Executive Board shall be to administer the affairs of the Women's Fellowship; make recommendations to the Fellowship; and have the authority to complete unfinished business within the fiscal year. The Executive Board shall also appoint chairpersons of all committees; prepare a budget to be presented to the Fellowship at the September meeting and appoint delegates to state conferences and meetings of the United Church Women.

Article V, Duties of Officers

Section 1, President: The President shall preside at all meetings of the Fellowship and of the Executive Board. She shall be an exofficio member and supervisor of all committees except the nominating committee. Section 2, First Vice-president: The First Vice-president shall, in the absence of or at the request of the President, preside and perform all other duties required of the President. She shall also serve as Chairperson of the Program Committee. Chairperson of the Spiritual Life, Education Christian Social (Share and Care) committees shall be members of the program committee.
